Korean MemorialKorean War & Korea Defense Service Veterans, Lake Co. (FL), Chapter 169

Lake Montessori School, Feb. 23, & Mar. 16, 2010

We were most pleased to have been invited by Harold Sievers to participate with the Adopt a Kid/Adopt a Vet Program on Feb. 23 at Lake Montessori in Leesburg, and again on Mar. 23 at the Veterans Memorial Park in The Villages. Charlie White, Dick Pfahler and Tom Thiel participated along of course with Harold who is one of the program’s developers. There was a large contingent from The Villages too.

A little different than our past Tell America school efforts, AK/AV is a more one-to-one program. Although the Village Sun was there in strength taking video and still photographs, all email requests to date for copies have been ignored. So we will do with the few we obtained.
